Minimum opening (opening a French bank account) balance : 300 euros. Maximum balance : 15300 euros. Access is allowed to tehe funds. You earn interest and rights for small property-based loans with low interests rates, up to 23000 euros, according to the balance saved (and if you keep the account for at least 18 months).
To purchase a property (as main or secondery residence, or to rent out) the PEL (Plan d’Epargne Logement : Housing Saving Plan) is most appropriate. Funds cannot be withdrawn unless the account (opening a French bank account) is closed.
Minimum opening balance : 225 euros with monthly credits of a minimum of €45, to a maximum balance of 61200 euros. Interest is earned on the account, together with rights for home loans of up to 92000 euros (according to the account balance and subject to keeping the account operational for at least 4 years).
